An academic named Peter Boghossian describes what was arguably the
greatest academic prank/punking of all time, the submission of several
obviously preposterous papers to top journals in their fields and their
acceptance by those same journals:

Perhaps the single most disturbing bit of the video comes at the very
end when Boghossian answers the question about what the woke academics
learned from the experience of being so mercilessly punked with
absurdity.
