TOP CHEF Season 21 opener where in a new group of chefs come together to compete for the Top Chef prize. This time around they are in Wisconsin so there's a lot of cheese references being thrown around. It's pretty clear who are the better chefs as one has major issues with their chicken being almost lukewarm not long before service but is able to pull it out and win the challenge. Another chef tastes one of their components and finds it really salty but still puts the gremolata in their dish and loses because of that. It was a component that it looked like she could have left out and still had a finished dish. Oh this time around no more Padma as host, while Kristen (former Top Chef winner) is taking over. She did an okay job for her first time as hosting. The other thing I watched was a movie called THE EXPATRIATE about a guy who was hired for a temporary job breaking security devices for a company, but it turns out it was all a fake as all of the employees are killed once they break enough devices. The setup was to enable someone to break into a CIA black vault and steal some documents. Documents that it turns out prove a company was shipping military weapons to rebels in Africa when the ship carrying the weapons went down. It was just watchable and not a movie I would seek out.
