"Usurper Joe" is a name based on Trump's baseless fantasy that he won the 2020 election. Cursitor Doom does share Trump's enthusiasm for implausible fantasies. The proposition that US elections can be fixed is another of them. The US is a decidedly flawed democracy, but the voters do have the final say, even if moneyed interests are allowed to bombard them with all the misleading propaganda they can afford. Trump was a disaster as a US president. His hopeless mishandling of the Covid-19 epidemic killed hundreds of thousands of Americans who might otherwise have survived. Boris Johnson did almost as badly in the UK. Electing him again would be a mistake, but the US is full of gullible twits, as John Larkin keeps on reminding us. Cursiotr doom is no less gullible, but at least he isn't American. -- Bill Sloman, Sydney -- This email has been checked for viruses by Norton antivirus software. www.norton.com
