George Passant was an interesting read as I find those detailed analyses of 19th and early 20th Century social conventions, politics, ethics and morality fascinating so will continue the series. I was not so immersed in the characters as I am with Trollope's, and as you initially implied, they are not of Robertson Davies standard.
