I'm not saying that they don't exist in other countries but instead 
compared to its peers the US seems head-and-shoulders in this respect. 
It probably doesn't help that a lot of my experience comes from being in 
Dallas where it seems to be mandatory to have really strong views on the 
UK while being totally ignorant of the UK.
