I don't know about a TV series, but Barbara Broccoli has certinaly 
vetoed Amazons plans for a female Bond in the next movie. Apaprently 
she is open to having Bond be black and/or gay though.

Amazon also reportedly suggested a spin-off based on Miss Moneypenny - 
the secretary, so that would be a "super exciting" movie watching her 
doing the typing and filing, answering the phone, and making the tea 
for Q's visitors. (Of course, the idiots would have moronically 
rebooted the character to be another spy instead.)  :-\
