Entre 11.700 et 4.500 ans avant maintenant, la concentration de CO₂ 
atmosphérique était environ 280 ppm et les températures dans l'Arctique 
et le nord du Groenland plus élevées de 2 à 4 °C. Un changement 
climatique brutal s'est produit avec une élévation des températures de
