Liberal cities and states, and Dipper provinces, have as a rate less gun crime (less applicable in Canada), less petit crime, although more in absolute terms solely because there's more people there. There's also, as a rule, more prosperity (however you measure that) in these locations. Saying NPR, or CBC, has a leftist or liberal bias is equivalent to saying they follow reality in their reporting, which for what it is, they don't - they tend not to go very hard on the supporters of fascism, because if they do, they will actually get defunded.
