It clearly ended in 1981. LOL. Seriously I enjoyed the 2005 reboot. It kept much of the charm of the old DOCTOR WHO while updating it for a modern audience. There were some great stories in that version of the show especially with the introduction of the Weeping Angels. The reboot this past Christmas left a lot to be desired. Also they were pushing the gay story line far more than they should have. It was there with Captain Jack Harkness without being distracting most of the time, but it felt like RTD wanted to make that much more of the story this time around. (Yes, I know it played more of a role in TORCHWOOD but that wasn't DOCTOR WHO, which as some have suggested was more of a family friendly show than TORCHWOOD.)
