He apparently got arrested after each failed attempt but got bail each time. On his fifth robbery attempt (LCBO stands for Liquor Control Board of Ontario, which is the chain store where you buy hard liquor), he apparently pulled a knife on a cop and a chase immediately ensued. Then he went down the busiest highway in the country (and arguably North America) the wrong way with police in pursuit. Unsurprisingly, he hit a car that was going the right way on the highway killing three of the people on board (a three month old baby and his grandparents) and injuring the rest. Fortunately, the thief also died. A lot of reasonable questions are being asked about why this guy was allowed out on bail so many times considering his crimes of armed robbery with many people suggesting he should simply have been deported after the first offense. I'm having a lot of trouble thinking of objections to any of that. I'm sure Trudeau and his "progressive" cronies pat themselves on the back multiple times a day for their compassion in trying to help the poor, disadvantaged innocents who are committing these crimes by giving them bail so they can find a path that doesn't involve jail but the rest of us are sick of the resulting carnage. Disturbingly, the authorities are trying to obscure the basic facts by obsessing over whether the police should have followed the thief down the highway in the wrong direction and planning extensive inquiries to point fingers at police responses to this criminal rather than asking how this thief was free to walk around and commit armed robberies in the first place. -- Rhino
