I set one up back when the new website launched; it still works as described above except the favorites page kicks me out after reading about a dozen comics. Not OK. As far as I can tell (their subscription benefits lists don't mention it) having a functional favorites page will now cost $50/year. (Some possibility it comes with the lower tier at $30/year.} This is up from $20/year in 2022 and 2023.
