Tom has mentioned sailing only in the bay where you can see where you want to get to and "navigation" is, in any event, a sometimes thing in sailing boats where you can only go where the wind sends you. And, I might add, Yes, I have crewed on a yacht sailing in the King's Cup Regatta. one of the more famous yacht races in the world, and I do know what I'm talking about.
