I know you guys have to know what I am talking about. There is a type of lock nut that is dimpled or punched that partially mangles the threads when installed to lock it in place. These have square punch marks on the flat. -- Bob La Londe CNC Molds N Stuff ----------------------- There are several types, it wasn't clear which one you had a problem with. I've read that running down long threads may loosen the side dimpled ones.
