Americans die of gun shot wounds at about five times the rate of citizens of other advanced industrial countries. This is just harm reduction. It will cut into the turnover of American small arms manufacturers, and their public relations arm - the National Rifle Association - will lie about it with their usual enthusiasm but Karl Marx doesn't come into. The capital invested in small arms manufacturing is being careless about the lives of the people who work in their factories, but you don't need classical Marxists economics to notice that. -- Bill Sloman, Sydhney
