It is perfectly possible to block known attacks. it is impossible to block unknown attacks, as YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHERE THE ATTACK IS COMING FROM OR HOW IT WILL BE MADE, BECAUSE THE ATTACK IS *NEW* AND *FROM AN UNEXPECTED SOURCE*.
