I would say olcott deliberately lie (he is playing with people. (but the re=

is not bad to me or others).
olcott's posts to comp.c is another form of deliberate lying (trick,skim,sm=
oke)
His problem in comp.c (another example) is intended perfect (sort of) C=20
language problem (he knows his real program is buggy to do so, he edited ma=
ny=20
false 'report').
His goal is gain 'yes' answer (whatever that yes is) so he can use it to re=
fute
others rebuttal (in different question) in comp.theroy.

olcott just posted (in comp.lang):
