Yes. I worry about assholes with guns who have decided to commit mass
murder. He had brought a lot of rifles with him and plenty of ammunition.
With or without the mechanism, he was a dangerous guy who made sure he'd
be in position to kill numerous people. Without the mechanism, the only
argument is that different people would have been killed, not that the
crime would have been prevented.

He was rich. There were no circumstances in which anybody would have
questioned him as he prepared to commit the crime.

Since there's nothing I can do about murderous rich assholes, I'm just
going to live my life.
