Face it, your health is falling apart. Do you have the excuse for next
month yet? Did you pass your physical? That was the April excuse, remember?

I spent the last week flying from here to Hot Springs Arkansas (EYE-HOT)
to be with family and then back home. Got back yesterday. Filed IFR both
ways and got in some quality time in the clouds. We had to dodge severe
thunderstorms on the way home by taking a more southerly route than
direct. Great trip, and the 79th birthday is in 2 weeks. Thanks to all
who figured out how to put live weather radar in a general aviation
instrument panel!

Departing from HOT it was 300 overcast 2.5 miles visibility. We spent
the next 1.5 hours in the clouds at 5000' flying along 20 miles south of
some red and purple Nexrad thunderstorm depictions with lots of
lightning showing up on the radar depiction as well. Then the got out of
the clouds and flew through light to moderate rain from a higher
overcast for a few hours. At EVV we took a potty break, checked on the
Indy 500 progress, and put in enough to fuel to leave the club standard
at 65 (out of 87) gallons at arrival, and headed home. Smooth ride all
the way. Arriving at EYE we had almost no bugs to clean off the
airplane. The rain gave it a good wash down. Great trip!
