I don't see the problem. We've been told that the moment someone identifies as
a thing, he/she actually becomes that thing. This is just the logical
extension of that. The troon identified as the girl, so he actually became the
girl and there can't be two of the same person, so the troon had to get rid of
the now-imposter.

It all makes perfect sense in the wonderland of troon ideology.
