I had to finalize and submit grading for the year, so I didn't watch
anything "fun" yesterday. (I should finish out "Andor" today!)
So what I did get through yesterday was...:
soaps: DOOL - Wed's ep. The most interesting thing in this ep was Belle
questioning Alex about Xander's (presumed!) attack on Philip - Alex
didn't help out Xander much here! The rest of this was either (fake!!)
John dying stuff (e.g. EJ "comforts" dumb Kristen about it), or EJ stuff
(e.g. Johnny). Also, Roman questioned Johnny about taking the gun, but I
missed what the upshot of that was.
GH - Thur's ep. What an ass! Dante lashes out at Lulu for actually
discovering the truth about Gio to the point where Lulu wants nothing to
do with him anymore. Considering that Gio doesn't either, this is
starting to be a pattern! Meanwhile, NuMichael tries to use the kids as
leverage to get Willow to leave Drew - but Willow is like a talking
puppet and Drew gets her to do a 180 on that and instead she's going to
fight Michael. (Lucky for dumb, weak Willow that Nina got the ace up the
sleeve that they need in the previous epie!!)
A Boyfriend to Die For (LMN) - Somewhat misleading title alert!
OK, I was wrong, and am willing to admit it! - But Brittany
Underwood looked great here (going back to being a brunette helps a
lot). I figured that Underwood was pushing 40, but she's actually still
36, and could easily pass for early 30s.
As a flick though, this was mostly mediocre - Underwood plays a poor
little rich girl with a recently deceased brother who has taken over
being in charge of her rich family's charitable trust.
Alex Trumble is back (second night in a row!) playing the supposed
secret heir to another richie-rich family. But you generally don't cast
Trumble unless he's playing a deranged or Evol! scumbag, so we already
know how this is going to go. Sure enough, he's running a con, romancing
Underwood's character and sweet talking her in order to milk a sweet,
sweet payday!
I generally dislike the Lifetime flicks where the lead heroine is
(so obviously!) being conned. Underwood makes this go down a little bit
easier, but not enough, esp. because it's clear to the viewer from the
get-go that Trumble is running a con.
So, this one is probably only for Underwood fans.
What did you watch?
