And window shading was useful for me when it was still there. Noone was forced to use it. Yet, people write things like "If that ever happened to me I'd figure out why and drive a stake through its heart." - just because they don't understand and don't want to see why this can be useful in some circumstances for some people. The fact that you can still configure shading as an action, for example when double clicking on a titlebar, in KDE, shows to me that it's a bug that it doesn't work in current KDE on wayland. If they wanted to get rid of the feature, they'd have removed the menu options.
