Simplistic reasoning that was based upon outcomes from previous
skirmishes.

Rather foolish to agitate a foe with a bigger military response.

At any time Hamas could have raised a white flag....other nations
would have done so....long before Gaza became rubble...but "defeat" is
not an option for Hamas.
