Look. There's two possibilities here.

#1.  It's entirely fictional.

#2.  It's manmade. It was introduced by humans.

Because there is nothing you've described that fits
a REAL and NATURALLY OCCURRING virus.


I would suspect #1 from things like your raw meat
being sold commercially as cat food...
