The salient fact is not only is the iOS device *designed* as a dumb
terminal but if you don't have an Apple Account on that iOS device, all the
apps will eventually die as you update the iOS on that dumb terminal.

That's just a fact which you may hate me for explaining to you.
But it's still just a fact.

Take it up with Apple if you don't like how she designed iOS, Jolly Roger.
