Yep, we had a R&D head who was absolutely awful but it was all 
overlooked. It even got to the stage where the head of software managed 
to convince the higher ups to do workshops with all employees to talk 
about moral. Basically the same few names came up again and again.

Predictable though the only outcome was to move the head of software 
sideways. The reason the R&D head was finally sacked was in a meeting 
with a large client the female project manager asked to have a look at 
some of the timescales that were being talked about. His response, you 
don't need to worry your pretty little head about that.
