Disney also gave the impression it was a movie for kids. That is another layer of > shame. I put more of the blame on commentators who have no sense of history. I didn't like what Disney did with the remake of Snow White, but I kept objecting to the claims that they had changed "the original," meaning the Disney animated version. My complaint about the movie is that they were pulling in two directions at once, as if they were simultaneously trying to do a remake and put a new take on the story. -- Gary McGath http://www.mcgath.com
