Yeah, except that the second movie pretty much ignored it until someone
tapped the director on the shoulder and said maybe we should tie this
movie into the first one someway. And the director probably said, first
movie? I'm making a sequel? I didn't know that, maybe I should watch
the first movie. And it was at that point the director found out the
first movie had aliens but by then it was too late to put any in the
sequel. I'm guessing about then is when they decided to call it "Beyond
Skylines" so it wouldn't have to actually connect to the first movie.
The director probably said, We've got Frank Grillo as a cop searching
for his son, and Iko Uwais doing some martial arts, we don't need any
stinking aliens. But if you insist we'll edit some aliens in the
background. And we'll ADR the dialog so the aliens took Grillo's son.

Now I can't prove that's how it went down, but that's probably pretty
close to how it happened.

Do not watch the third one! I'm warning you, it's not worth it. You
will never get those 110 minutes of your life back. Use the time you
would have spent watching Skyline 3 to watch some paint dry or schedule
that root canal you've been putting off. I assure you, it will be far
more entertaining!

Four! They made a fourth one. Skyline: Warpath
