Brilliant! Bass has just incentivized a whole lot of people to stay home 
and live off handouts. All they have to do is claim that they're worried 
that they might be picked up by ICE at work (or on the way to or from 
work) so they need to stay home. Will these people even be vetted to 
determine if they are illegal? Somehow, I doubt it since that would be 
painted as racist or something: "you have to believe all claimants" just 
like we were supposed to "believe all women". What stops people who are 
not illegal from claiming that they are worried about being picked up by 
ICE so they are staying home too?

You can bet the claimants will very soon come along and insist that 
whatever money they are being given on these cash cards is not enough. 
They will insist that the money isn't enough for the food they like and 
it doesn't cover the delivery services that bring them to the door. 
(After all, if they're afraid of going to work because of the risk of an 
ICE detention, they can argue that they're afraid of going to the 
supermarket or the gas station on the same grounds.)

Will their kids also get private home tutoring for fear of them being 
picked up by ICE?

I don't know how Bass survived shitting the bed with her "leadership" 
during the fires but surely this should justify a recall....
