I had at least two friends who jumped from snail mail to Internet really early and tried to convince me to jump in but I held out until June 1998 when I got online while hanging out at the CVCC library I think my first post that day still exists, I'll have to check on it again soon. In 1995 I jumped almost fully into the local scene, quickly moving away from the snail mail small press, to focus on the local poetry scene, the Brewery coffee shop (which pretty much evolved into Fountain City Coffee) Jumpin Java, all that. If I listened to music it was almost always local stuff. My poetry readings eventually evolved into songs, but that evolution really took years to happen. ***
