Well, not really. I just wanted to check whether the header fields for 
decoding non-ASCII characters were present.
 
In order to be used for posting in languages other than English, 
Newsgrouper would need to be able to encode published articles in 
charsets other than ASCII, and to declare these charsets. At least, it 
would have to accept UTF-8, which is not currently the case.

As I've already mentioned, there are no longer any problems when 
reading non-ASCII articles. All that remains is to enable the 
publication of such articles with Newsgrouper.
