I can select: [~]# eselect python list Available Python interpreters, in order of preference: [1] python3.11 [2] python3.12 [3] python2.7 Python 3.11 is first because that is the current Gentoo default. But I can switch between all versions at will via: eselect python [1 | 2 | 3] Can you do that with your crippled distro? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
