My sincere advice for plumbing, is to literally make sure all the pipes ( as with electrical, EVAC ) are all accessible, through one service area ( not the same for electrical and plumbing ) but you get the idea. Again you need to test those pipes before you make any moves. Also installing pipes there is a PVC v. Copper bit going on. Usually it would be copper in and pvc-out, but again depends because nowadays PVC has gotten better. However many people still go for copper or whichever pipes that have least amount of health risks. Take this time to consider those things. When you do install the pipes make sure the water is running for a couple of days, before you go over them, or do part of the construction while the pipes are running liquid just to make sure. If you detect and leakage, then you should make note of it, even trying to apply marker or something that would indicate leaking of any sort. Whoever did the job did not "do it correctly". Be mindful of the kind of contractors you hire and make sure to review them. Not all of them are the same and are not equal in actually finishing and taking pride in their work.
