Also, my Xpdf is not rendering text for some PDF files. An example PDF file is posted to here: alt.binaries.multimedia.transformation Opening this file with either qpdfview or mupdf will render the images and text. Opening with xpdf will only render the images and not any text. What is going on? How can I correct this? Note that xpdf renders text on most other PDF files, but this file, and many others, there is no text rendered. I suspect that I may be missing fonts. But which ones? And why does qpdfview and mupdf render the fonts when they have access to the same system fonts? Give this poor little boy some answers. Help the poor; my pants are tore!
