Plain static web pages are what the web was originally designed for.
They will remain viable forever while ecmascript endures its ever increasing
race to the bottom.

Intranet applications are the most twisted attempt to "shoe horn"
functionality into a medium that was never intended to be functional.
They are nothing more than a cheap bastardization.
