Xwayland is NOT a complete backward compatibility library.  It only
allows certain X applications to run.

For one thing, the ffmpeg "x11grab" does not work with xwayland.

Also, all X compositing window managers will not function with xwayland
as they violate a key concept of Wayland.  Thus, 50 years of venerable
X window managers which many people use will be tossed on the scrap
heap.
