cross-posting, random cross-posting and troll flooding en masse has
always been acceptable and status quo across unmoderated newsgroups;

usenet veterans long ago realized that the cost of uncensored plain
text free expression -- uncensored free speech -- is relatively low
compared to what it was back in the day (commonplace witch burnings,
dungeons, public executions, horrific atrocities, and all the usual
evils of human beings that have ruled this planet with an iron fist
since the advent of the master race) .... nothing new under the sun
