The writing was probably on the wall for all the smaller players when
IBM decided to get into the market (though the clones eventually ate
*their* lunch,) but CBM suffered from gross mismanagement verging on
straight-up embezzlement in its last years, to boot; very much a fore-
runner to a lot of the "looted & pillaged by reaving MBAs" stories of
the 21st century :/
