ARRL September VHF Contest
 
The 2024 ARRL September VHF Contest begins on September 14 at 1800 UTC, and concludes on September 16 at 0259 UTC. Operation is allowed on any amateur frequency from 50 MHz to light. Complete rules are available at www.arrl.org/september-vhf [ http://www.arrl.org/september-vhf ] . Logs must be submitted no later than 0259 UTC on September 26, 2024.

North American Sprint, RTTY
 
RTTY operators who prefer a shorter, faster-paced contest, the North American Sprint, RTTY occurs on Sunday, September 15, from 0000 - 0359 UTC (Saturday evening in North America.) Teams of up to five members can combine their separate single operator scores into a team score. Teams must register prior to the event at ncjweb.com/north-american-sprint/ [ https://ncjweb.com/north-american-sprint/ ] .

ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest
 
The second weekend of the ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest [ https://contests.arrl.org/10g/ ] begins on Saturday, September 21 at 0900 UTC and concludes on Monday, September 23 at 0759 UTC. Participants should note that this is a change from the previous start and end times, which had previously been in local time. Contest contacts should be logged in UTC time. Also starting this year, participation is limited to a total of 42 hours of operating time in each of the two contest weekends. Participants that also operated during the first weekend of the event are reminded that logs for both weekends must be submitted as one complete log. Logs must be submitted by 0759 UTC on October 23.

With the SSB portion of the Worked All Europe DX Contest occurring this weekend, the W1DED Contest Crew discusses a unique element of the contest: the QTC. Randy, K5ZD; Dan, N6MJ, and Bill, W9KKN, explain what QTCs are and the protocol for handling requests, and demonstrate the process using DXLog. Ed Muns, W0YK, reports that the raw scores for the World Wide Digi DX Contest are now available at https://ww-digi.com/raw.htm [ https://ww-digi.com/raw.htm ] . Participants should note that the posted raw scores may not match the scores calculated by their logging software. The contest committee expects to have the final scores published by the end of September.
