It's arguably an okay mechanic in some >games, but it feels out of place in a game like Doom. DOOM TDA to me is like playing BRICK in Borderlands 1&2 but without the skill tree and awesome loot. I really did not enjoy playing BRICK at all because of the emphasis on melee skills which understandably made guns a secondary support mechanic. >It being "Doom", I'm sure I'll definitely acquire it eventually. I'm genuinely pleased that I opted to play it through Gamepass. I usually prefer to buy (rent) my own copy (licence) in case I ever drop Gamepass or if a game 'leaves' the line up. I would not pay for this game. Not even £1.99. I probably won't finish it and will never play it again once I stop. It is for me, the most disappointing game of 2025 so far, It's great to look at, it's cinematic, it has some great looking weapons. But it's not an FPS and it's certainly not a DOOM game to me. -- Rob
