D&D's not a video game, and they just created something new loosely using the Forgotten Realms setting. I'd be more impressed if they managed to bring one of the books to the screen successfully. Dragonlance, or one of the FR books. Still even that's not as impressive as a much higher percentage of books have been brought to screen successfully than video games.
