Wrong, as usual.  I use Rising (Prevident) Denta 5000 Plus tooth
paste.  1.1% Sodium Fluoride.  About $12 to $18.  Dentists
prescription required.

Three years ago, my dentist found a soft spot on one of my teeth.  He
prescribed fluoride tooth paste, which solved the problem in a few
months.  

In terms of abrasiveness, baking soda is RDA (Relative Dentin
Abrasion) = 7, which is a "low" abrasive.  Good choice.  Denta 5000
Plus shows an RDA = 80, which is more abrasive, and is considered a
"mild" abrasive:

I use it 3 or 4 times per week.  I would prefer something less
abrasion.  In between, I brush with just water and floss erratically.
