So very tempting to equate things to difficulty. I am resisting.

Really I only liked Act I, but it's so good. Act 2 is a slow slog with
the turn based and endless enemies. Act 3 is mostly wandering around
town after the circus, and got bored before getting to anything
interesting. Also the proliferation of junk and inventory management
finally drove me nuts and I quit before finishing it.

I never finished or even got very far in BG1 after many many attempts
over the years either, but that's for completely different reasons. I
hate the way spells are handled, doesn't feel like AD&D at all, and
wandering slowly through the wilderness/roads with tons of encounters
turned me off.

I never even tried BG2 because I didn't finish BG1. I know it's supposed
to be better.

Still all have the best of NPC party members. Who can forget "Stop
touching me!" "Go for the eyes boo!" I don't remember any catchphrases
from BG3 though now that I think on it. I made a Xena and Ash setup for
PC and NPCs in BG1 too, that was fun.
