Bidule, machin, truc ou équipement qui délivre les adresses IP ? :) 
Techniquement c'est un "serveur DHCP" qui fournit des IP mais à ta 
décharge il n'y a pas de terme prédéfini en tant que "hardware" car cela 
désigne une fonction logicielle (= "software") qui est en effet très 
souvent intégrée dans les petits boîtiers du commerce désignés par 
exemple sous le nom de "routeurs WIFI": pour le grand public, il faut 
que quand on branche, ça marche "tout seul"! (attribution automatique 
d'une IP, table de routage, route par défaut etc.).

Personnellement j'avais parfaitement compris ce dont tu parlais, mais il 
y a ici des puristes!
