I just checked the Wiki article, so barely familiar.

Check out the local history of the Nahanni river,
specifically the 6 people who were decapitated.


Moose hunting, we have seen the racks (for drying 
animal skins(?)) that appear to be 'woven' out of 
~1" thick softwood roots. No knife marks; no strings;
no tie-wraps. Anything hand-made by natives in the
pre-colonial epoch would be rotten by now.

The one we heard (which I spoke of upstream)
made a slow (~ 1 hour) circle of our tent,
making sounds like a 8-foot chimp attempting
to mimic human speech & children laughing.
