I just checked the Wiki article, so barely familiar. Check out the local history of the Nahanni river, specifically the 6 people who were decapitated. Moose hunting, we have seen the racks (for drying animal skins(?)) that appear to be 'woven' out of ~1" thick softwood roots. No knife marks; no strings; no tie-wraps. Anything hand-made by natives in the pre-colonial epoch would be rotten by now. The one we heard (which I spoke of upstream) made a slow (~ 1 hour) circle of our tent, making sounds like a 8-foot chimp attempting to mimic human speech & children laughing.
