Which is a huge difference. Second, you don't have to back up your all system, you just have to back up what's matter to you. For example, if you program, you can consider your programs are very important to you when you know you can download again what you have downloaded. So, in this case, sending your programs on gitlab, gihub or on another forge could be enough. But, as DG/LP/NV/FR/whatever doesn't know how to use git, his only way to protect the work he pretends to do is to backup his system. And loosing four weeks of real work is, unlike loosing four weeks of imaginary work, a real pain. And I'd loose anytime my OS than four weeks of work. Loosing my OS would be a few hours issue, not loosing four weeks of work. And, I'll go one step further. I'm pretty sure his four weeks backup are as imaginary as his contributions in every subject that matter. -- Si vous avez du temps à perdre : https://scarpet42.gitlab.io
