When I tell people where I am, I usually say "right next to the tip of 
the West Virginia pan handle", to make it easy to visualize on a map. 
(Alternatively: "an hour from Pittsburgh".)  Since I'm less than a 10 
minute drive from both Ohio and Pennsylvania, I reference "the tri-state 
area" frequently.
