Many of the air traffic controllers with whom I work are still bitter at 
Reagan, even though they weren't old enough to be employed as an air 
traffic controller in the 80's.

The vast majority of the guys make over 6 figures, and with the lower 
cost of living in my area, I'd say that they are paid very well for the 
job that they do.  It's amazing the stuff that well off people just 
throw away...  So much waste.
