last suck update was around 06/2024

all groups/articles got renumbered by date which took quite some time
you must re-subscribe any newsgroups you may have added before.

the server will possibly die at the end of the year 2025 and i'm not 
sure what to do with it.

if anyone wants a copy with the running server binary and src (go/x86-64):

you need
5.25T for articles (with zfs compressratio of 1.84x)
175G OVERVIEW data (with zfs compressratio of 2.99x)

optional 110G sha256 hash database (maria+rocksdb)
^^ better have some ram if you boot this baby
is useful for rescanning and sucking from other spools.
the hashdb is not needed to serve articles but takes load from disks. 
without hashdb every new article is checked if exists on disk.
my little go-server needs only 3-5 Megs of RAM to run xD

it's impossible to move this to a non-zfs storage...
.... compression is essential ...
.... articles are stored in 32x 11T XFS partitions ...
.... divided by hash into flat files ...
