Amusingly, not a day after I wrote that, my current Logitech mouse started having problems. (It's the mousewheel; it's always been a problem. It accumulates crud /beneath/ the mechanism where it's really hard to pry out. In the past, I've been able to clean it. This time... not so much. Either that or the lubricant on the hub has gone all sticky, and that's nowhere I can get to easily either. Either way, it doesn't spin smoothly.) Electronically, though, it's fine. If I never used the wheel, I could keep using it for years to come. Heck, I could still use the wheel now; it just takes a lot of effort to scroll. But it's easier to just replace it. Still, I'm amused at the mouse having issues NOW, after having praised Logitech. I guess the Universe was listening, and she has a sense of irony. And yes, I'm replacing it with another (identical model of) Logitech mouse. (in the meantime, I've a spare. Only three buttons, though; how primitive ;-)
