I venture into my mechanic's work area because he's typically working on
a car or sitting on the side next to a car on a lift. We're old buddies
by now. We like to talk about trends in automobile design/mechanics and
diabetes. I think he likes chatting - he's probably a little lonely
being by himself in his shop. Sometimes his dad is there - he used to be
a client of mine in my hearing aid business.
